I am tremendously fortunate to call Les Brown my friend. A man that has been on every stage you can think of at some time in his career. Coming from tremendously humbled beginnings to becoming one of the most well-known and impactful speakers on the circuit is one Les Brown.
Over our careers I’m guessing we’ve shared the stage together nearly 50 times. Every time you have the opportunity to listen to Les Brown you will definitely come away in a better mood, inspired, and ready to take on whatever the world has to feed you. His laugh is infectious. His stories are inspirational. His delivery is one-of-a-kind. As Les would say, yeah gotta be hungry! You’ve gotta want it more than the next person.
Not only do you have to be driven, Les always encourages you to know that you have greatness within! It is that greatness that will allow you to accomplish anything you set your mind to and take action toward. Personally, les has overcome some of the greatest obstacles and challenges of any speaker out on the circuit. He has done so with elegance and grace and just plain hard work.
So what do you learn from Les Brown when you’re around him? How to treat people with honor and dignity. How to share a message so that it encourages people to take action to live their highest dreams. That no matter where you came from you can do anything that you set your mind to and want to accomplish.
Being able to sit and talk as a friend has been and amazing opportunity throughout the years. Oh you hear the stories on stage, but the stories told backstage or even more powerful in many cases. Les Brown has worked hard for years to be the shining light in so many people’s dark days. He’s done it masterfully! He is a true treasure to all that have known him and heard him throughout the years. Thank you less for your friendship, wisdom, and guidance throughout the years.
